Free online image converter — JPG, PNG, and WebP

Convert an image from one format to another in seconds. Load a JPG, PNG, or WebP file, choose the output format, and download the converted image — no file size limits and no account required. It is the quick way to turn a heavy PNG into a lightweight WebP for the web, flatten a transparent graphic to JPG, or produce a PNG when you need a clean, lossless copy.

How to convert an image

  1. Click Select Image and choose a file from your device.
  2. Pick your target format — JPG, PNG, or WebP.
  3. Click Convert & Download to save the new file.

Which format should you choose?

  • WebP — the smallest files for modern websites, with support for transparency.
  • PNG — lossless quality and transparency, ideal for logos and screenshots.
  • JPG — broad compatibility and small file sizes for photos where transparency is not needed.

Common uses

  • Shrinking images to WebP to speed up a website.
  • Converting a WebP download into a PNG or JPG that other apps accept.
  • Turning a transparent PNG into a flat JPG for email or documents.

Your images never leave your device

This converter is completely private. The conversion runs inside your own browser using the HTML canvas, so your files are never uploaded to any server — even large or sensitive images stay on your computer. Nothing is stored, and nothing is tracked.

Frequently Asked Questions

What image formats are supported?

You can save your image as JPG, PNG, or WebP. The file you load can be in any format your browser can display, including JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP, so conversions such as WebP to PNG or GIF to JPG work too.

Are my images stored on your server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using an HTML canvas, so the image never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or tracked, which makes it safe for private, confidential, or client work.

Will converting change the quality or transparency of my image?

Saving as PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP re-encode the picture at your browser default quality, which looks very close to the original but is not pixel-identical. JPG has no transparency, so converting a transparent PNG to JPG flattens the see-through areas to solid black — choose PNG or WebP if you need to keep the alpha channel.

Is there a file size limit?

The tool imposes no file size limit, and because nothing is uploaded there is no upload cap either. The practical ceiling is your own device memory: a very large image may fail to load into the canvas, especially on a phone. If that happens, try the same file on a desktop browser.

Can I convert several images at once?

Not currently — the converter handles one image at a time. Choose a file under Select Image, pick your target format under Convert To, click Convert and Download, then repeat for the next image.
